Much more than legumes

Peas (Pisum sativum)
The crown jewel. Historically, the species we have sown the most continues to star in nearly 40% of the cereal area. We play with long-cycle varieties, such as Meseta and Rubiana, and others with a shorter cycle, such as Focus or Gustav. Climatic conditions are, year after year, key to its good development.
One of the revelations of these past years due to its quite acceptable yields in the context of adverse weather conditions. It helps fix nitrogen, allows us to rotate crops and is interesting for livestock feed due to its protein richness.
Fava bean (Vicia faba minor)
Another legume that requires good cultivation (sown and treated when appropriate) to be productive, but beyond its immediate productivity, it allows us to rotate crops and fix nitrogen. It has recently arrived on our farms, although our ancestors had it on the agenda.
